Around fifty people attended the service at NMA on 3 August. PDB was well represented over 20% of total. The service was well conducted by Reverend Mike Pons RN, Chaplain to the RFA and it was great to catch up with many old friends. Unfortunately, the Chairman, Ian Thompson tested positive for Covid over the weekend and had to miss the event, which was, nevertheless, well managed by Peter Fry. We carried on our conversations at the Crown Inn, Alrewas and we hardly noticed the rather indifferent food. Interesting to note that the Commodore has a Flag Lieutenant - how times have changed!
